The High Cascades Futurity & Benefit Race April 15th-20th, 2025 at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds is slated to be the largest barrel racing competition in Oregon.
Last year we had over 1800 class entries from over 450 horse and rider combinations competing at our 4 day live webcasted event.
We proudly paid out over $240,000 in prize money while raising more than $18,000 for our emergency fund. This year we are expecting to grow even more.

One included with each futurity & derby entry. Will be ran in draw order starting with Futurity #1. One time through with a 60 sec time limit.

Open to slot race horses & riders only.​

Open to peewee horses & riders only.

3:00 PM $1,000 ADDED MVP PEEWEE CHAMPIONSHIP
DRESS CODE. 10 and under. $60 entry fee, limited to 75 entries. 1 sec split between 1D & 2D, 2 sec split between 2D & 3D, 9 sec split between 3D & 4D. Saddles to division winners. Awards for all entries. Awards presentation in the arena immediately following the race. DIVISION WINNERS PLEASE BRING HORSES FOR PHOTOS.

Slot Race Riders and horses must be present in the arena in draw order for the Calcutta Auction at 6:00 pm
8:00 PM – $5,000 ADDED AIKENS TRAILERS 2D SLOT RACE
DRESS CODE. Limited to 50 slot owners, 2D with a .5 second split. Awards presentation in the arena immediately following the race. Top 6 in each division and division champions with horses in the arena for photos.

AWARDS
Futurity and derby awards will be presented after runner number 50 of the 5D open. 5D open, Youth, Adult, Senior and Novice as well as Gold Rush and Gold Rush Cup Series awards will be presented immediately following the conclusion of the race in the arena. You MUST enter the average to be eligible for average awards. You must be PRESENT to win!
